FAVOURITE MYTHICAL CREATURE:
My favourite mythical creature is more rooted in recent history. As a young boy I remember reading in our Encyclopedia about this creature from Australia. It is the Thylacine. Also known as the Tasmanian Tiger, this dog-like or wolf-like marsupial lived out is presumed final existence in captivity. Although the last Thylacine died in 1936 there have been sightings. A report came in July 2019, when a man found what is thought to be a Tasmanian tiger footprint in Hobart, Tasmania.
